Our current VentureForth system is based upon Swift
    Forth so until there is a Swift Forth available for the Mac,
    VentureForth will only be available for Windows and Linux. We have
    been told that there may be plans to port Swift Forth over to the Mac
    but this is not a short term solution and we cannot promise if, or
    when this might happen.

    If you have an Intel based Macintosh it is possible to either run
    Linux or Windows through VMware. If you are using the IBM/Motorla
    apple, it is there might be a Linux virtual machine you can use but
    I'll have to look into it.

"I can definitely run linux in vmware fusion, since I work on Mac intel laptops & already use fusion to run linux. Do you recommend any particular flavor of linux for the VentureForth dev tools & emulator?"

A number of people at IntellaSys use Ubuntu Linux. If you really have no preference, then Ubuntu would minimize the differences between us.
